Retrack Servo Help
Bought a second hand Ramble 45 and put a Hitec 75bb retract servo in. But the servo travel from one end to the other, way too much throw than needed. I am using a futaba 9cap tx, and I tried the end point adjustment but it did not work. Is there any way I can reduce the throw to the amount I need it. Pls help.

RE: Retrack Servo Help
Reduce the throw, NO. Retrac servos have one throw, 180 degrees, no more no less. What you have to do is put the connections where the 180 will be the amount of travel you want.
I also have the Rambler 45 and used the 75BB for the retract servo. I found that using the small servo arm I could attach the connectors at the outer most holes and it worked perfectly. |
RE: Retrack Servo Help
Retract servos do not response to EPA on the transmitter. You must reduce the throw mechanically. The distance between the two EZ connectors on the servo arm must equal the distance that the retract actuator rod moves from lock to lock. Try to find a smaller servo arm. New holes can be drilled on the servo arm if necessary to get the correct throw.

RE: Retrack Servo Help
Most of my fleet are mechanical retracts and a couple airs. Get one working at a time. I usually have my servos arms at the 10 & 4 oclock position or the 2 & 8 when opened or closed.

I like to use the big round servo arm (The kind where you need to drill your own holes whever you need them) and set them up like Snoop suggested.
