Groovy 90 3A
I have assembled the plane as in the instructions. I put a Saito 100 in it. It is so tail heavy, I don't have enough lead to balance! Has anybody else had this problem and how did you solve it?

RE: Groovy 90 3A
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY GROOVY AND IT WAS BECAUSE I PUT A 2 STROKE 46 ON IT WHEN IT CALLED FOR A 4 STROKE WHICH IS A LOT HEVIER!

RE: Groovy 90 3A
I just purchased a Groovy 90 3a.
What did you do about the plane being so tail heavy? |
RE: Groovy 90 3A
This plane was designed for the YS-91 (it is a direct fit). The YS 110 also fits. One of my friends had a Groovy with a YS 110 with a pipe and it balanced fine. Another one of my friends has an OS 140RX with a pipe on his... Yes, it is ballistic. :D It takes off on about 1/4 throttle. Anyway, he was able to balance his fine too.
I have a Groovy 90 still in the box that I am looking at assembling this winter. I am looking at putting an OS 108FSR or a Webra 120 with a pipe on it. As far as four strokes, if I were you I would either go with a YS 110 or something just as powerful. I wonder if a Saito 150 would fit??? I don't know about the Saito 100 or 120 because my friend that went with the YS 110 originally had a pumped OS 120 and you could tell it was running out of motor on the up lines, but once he but that powerful 110 on it performed beautifully.
