42% Ultimate

I see in the latest Model Aviation mag that Mike McConville was flying a Hanger 9 prototype 42% Ultimate at the nats. Does anyone know anything about this?
Just how big is a 42% Ultimate? What engine would it take? Its probably too early to ask about the price but an estimate would be nice

42% Ultimate

Actually, if you go to the arf forum, dcronkhite is currently conducting a marketing survey for h9 on this. Here is his original post that goes with the survey;

46% Hangar 9 Ultimate Bipe
So guys.. I'm interested in getting some feedback about the possibility of Hangar 9 coming out with an ARF 46% Ultimate Bipe.

This is a BIG airplane at 100" span, 3310 square inches of wing area.

So tell me.. what do you think of THIS size? I know there are many who'd like it smaller..

Ultimate

I found the thread OK. Thanks for the replies.
I'm afraid thats way out of my ability to finance it or cary it around if someone gave it to me. Too big.
I would like to have an Ultimate I could put the ZDZ 80 I have in and have the wing fit into the rocket box I have on the top of my car. (80x25" max)

Are you looking for one to build, or are you looking for an arf? If you are looking to build one, G&L Hobbies has an 84" 36% that is a builders kit with a fiberglass fuse and foam wings. You can get a two piece wing version that would fit in your box. A DA-100 would go perfect in it but you could fly it with an 80 or even a 4.2 according to their website. If you have any questions let me know, I bought a kit a year ago, and am planning on putting my old 3W-120 in it.

Weeks

Thanks Murphy and Sticks.
I think that 33% SI Weeks is what I am looking for. I don't care for fiberglas/foam wing airplanes in the big models

RE: Weeks

I have been trying to get in touch with tom at SI Models for weeks to order a weeks solution with no luck.
