modeltech twister

I know this plane hasn't been mentioned much, but based on the good reviews here, I decided to order the modeltech twister. As I've been currenly flying my GP Venus a lot, I wanted another plane not only capable of pattern, but also some 3-D. The Venus seems pretty good at pattern, but I think it is more of a sport plane. anyways, thinking of slapping my magnum .46 or asp .46 into the twister. also like the fact that the twister hass pull/pull rudder and 2 servos for elevator. should be more precise then my venus.
any other comments on this plane or suggestions would be helpful

Be sure you replace the rods for the pull-pull system with wires. When you install the elevator servos, you'll see why.
Also make sure you install a set of wires on the tail feathers. Your 46 will certainly fly it, but it might limit the 3-D a little, but I could be wrong.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

yeah, i read that in another post, but also read that if the triangle stock (that is not mentioned in the directions) is used, which supports the tail, then all should be ok. I'd rather not have to add some ugly wires to anotherwise clean airframe. just my opinion.

The triangle stock does the job, I fly mine on an OS50 with mini servos saving about 130 grams the 50 is more than enough, cg set at about 140mm it will still fly very smooth but will wind up when you want it to.
