:)I love the challenge of this hobby. One of the things I do is try to remove the glow stick from the front thru the prop. You can do it...but you gotta be fast.
Thanks
Barry

yea fourstroke, its funny what runs through your mind right after a prop goes digging through your arm!!
as soon as my arm shut down my saito 100 which was running at approx 6-7000 rpms(4 slices luckily with wood prop) i yelled at my son first"it got me" then i grabed a rag as he ran up and as we tied it around my arm(no artery either) all i could think of was do i have time to load all this stuff up before i bleed to death????? and i proceeded to load it up and made it to the urgent care before i did die, but yes i do love my planes:D

A whole bunch of reasons that one should never fly alone. I admit that I have done it in the past and every once in a while I get the urge again, but after a bad cut I realized that an artery cut and you could be dead before you could get help.

Better safe than dead.

gjeffers - that's sick... sick sick sick :D it's true that i would be very hesitant to leave my airplanes behind, too. this guy put in about five grand in his plane... but then it's not exactly easy to slip at 2+ meter aerobat into your car without anyone noticing.

i was talking to one of the hobby shop owners about how concerned that guy was about his radio and plane and the LHS owner said this: "the body will heal itself, the plane won't!" with a chuckle. and his solution to ensure that this will never happen again? "fly jets, no prop to hit you with" wouldn't you know he always has a full stock of jets!

after I cut the tip of my thumb off on July 4th, my dad told me I should get into jets. I told him sure thing as long as he puts out the cash.:D
