Lazer 2000 ARF?
Has anyone been flying one of these? I would like to get some feed on this kit. What engine do you use? At 87", it looks like a good model for the $.

Lasser 200
I seen it fly the day they took the picture that is on ther web page
Bubba flew it hard with a 4.2 I mean hard. It is also all lasser parts with a built up wing and looks very nice with the color and details on it. It has a 96" wing span, full 1/3 scale. Milton |
Kangke Laser
I have one with a brison 3.2, its a wonderful flier. I used Hitec radio gear and servos. The only changes I made to the plane were to replace the main wheels and the tail wheel bracket. The plane comes with great hardware, all the push rods and horns are anodised alum. Its easy to fly, has no bad habbits and 3-D's with ease. With the Brison, from a hover it will accelerate verticly to flight speed. Hope this helps.

Lazer
Thanks Milton, I was actually refering to the Kangke that Outcast was speaking of. The Lanier looks good also, but a lttle more than I would like to spend on an arf. I have flown the built up 1/3 version, a very nice performer. If I sell my Aeromaster, I will definately be in the market.

I have the Kangke 2000 with all hitec. a first place 3.2.
the kit is a work of art <wish i could build this good> it has a perry smoker i have not flown it yet due to weather here but cannot wait it is so nice i'am going to get another one for the wife..... |
Kange Laser 2000
I have one with a Brison 3.2. Hitec digitals all round on a 6V NiMh battery and TME smoke system. This is one excellent flying plane. Tons of power with the 3.2. I would highly recommend this kit.

Lazer 2000 ARF?
Comtech1, (or anyone else)
I have an older Laser 2000 model, (it has the conterbalanced elevators) that I have just started to assemble. It will also have the FPE 3.2 with digital hitechs all around. Since this is going to be my first big plane with gas, could you provide some photos of the engine mounting (stand offs in particular) and where did you end up with your CG? Also did you replace the tail wheel assembly. Thanks steve |
Lazer 2000 ARF?
HI Steve..
as for the standoffs i used light ply 1/8" and traced the backplate onto it..then i cut out the ply stacked 3 on top of each other then drilled out the holes for th mounting bolts mounted the standoff and the engine to the fire wall worked out great ... as for the tail wheel the one on the kange it week so i did replace it .. the cg ended up right on i used 2 1800 mill batt. packs hope this helps rob |
Lazer 2000 ARF?
Thanks Rob,
that will help me out, I had no idea what to use for mounting the engine. I was also thinking on changing to the sullivan tail wheel assembly. I am going with 3 batteries, ignition and reciever/servos on an optical isolator. Will hopefully have it done soon. steve |

Laser 2000
I found a Laser for a great price $250.00 missing hardware but I figure I can find some that will work well. I'm thinking of going with the ZDZ60.... I want to use the engine eventually on a Giant TF P47, or who knows, might never take it off of the Laser. The ZDZ50 and 60 are the same price, why not go with the 60? What are some ideas about the Z60 and what would be the best way to mount it since the carb is in the rear of the engine?
Thanks in advance for any replies fellas... HAPPY LANDING!!! |
