DPM Clipped Wing Cub
 

Hello,
I just received a new Dave Patrick Clipped wing cub by the big brown truck today and would just
like to share how Great Dave and Sandy really are. I had a few questions concerning an electric
power plant for it and Dave was extremely helpful ( Nice talking to the man himself !!!)
Next I ordered a team patrick shirt to go along with the cub and to my surprise it was sent at
no charge and get this they also scratched off the shipping as well !!!
Well then I'm going through the box and what do I find? A small bag of candy and a note of thanks !!!
Wow I am blown away by the level of customer service this company offers.
As for the cub? well if you have ever seen any of DPM's models you know your in for a real treat
and I was not disappointed. From the covering job to all the name brand accessories, it's all top notch.
I usually feel that most ARF's are not up top the quality that I can build too.....Not this one
I will most certainly be ordering from them again in the future and any other chance that my wife won't
know about :)
Oh in case anyones interested it will be powered with a Hacker C50 12XL 6.7 gearing, Opt0 77 esc,
TP 8S4P 8000mAh batteries and an APC 22x10 thin electric prop. This setup produces roughly 2000 watts.

I saw one of these fly 2 weeks ago at a local electric event. The owner told me he used the exact recommended electric setup (Hacker, etc..) and I can tell you it had more than enough power. And just an absolutely great looking plane. Hard to believe it's an ARF!!!

I cant belive that you guy guys will miss the lovely and conforting sound of a nice 4 Stroker on this awsome aircraft...

Nothing like the sound of a nice gas engine to realy feel the power of SCALE ..

You got that right Phantom! The only way I would go electric is on something small that would fit next to me in the shotgun seat of my truck--and that just to keep my thumbs "oiled" on so, so days. In my view to go electric on this beautiful Cub is sinful, I love the sound, power, and smell of my Saito 150 in my DPM SuperCub!
