RCU Forums - DP extra 300

You know, I actually forgot to ask, when I asked about the extras, she said about 4 weeks. She then asked if I was on the list because they were all pre-sold. When I asked about the edges, she said 10 to 12 weeks. I then asked when woudl they update the web site with specs and stuff, she replied, "what do you want to know?" She read me some of the specs off of a sheet she was holding, but never said anything about being sold out, nor even offered me to make a deposit on one. She said they would update the site when they got close to knowing a more concrete delivery time. Don't expect if before christmas, gonna have to ask for something else.

Given my past experiences with most ARF manufactors (or distributors), they generally like to get pre-paid deposits, I assume better cash flow when getting their shipment. Most do non-refundable deposits, even if (as they alsways are) delayed. She didn't ask for one, so I assume they are more delayed then she is saying, or there goin to take deposits right before delivery??? Not real business smart either way you look at it. If they do no the delay is longer, or their unsure, at least she didn't ask to tie up my hard earned moneys with a deposit then ungodly waiting. I could build and crash many a beutiful plane while waiting the DP Edge. From the exhibition pics, looks sweet. :)

BTW, I don't realy have a problem with the time it takes, but I think it is bad business, I don't mean just DP, they ALL do it. IF I ran those places, the "estimator of time" person would have been fired, fired, and oh yeah, I'd fire him. I don't care if it takes six months, just say it will then deliver when you say you will. This business should not be any different than any other.

You know they say that 2 out of every three new business's fail. I bet its because they don't do what they advetise or promise to do. If they did, most would stay in business.
