GREAT PLANES CESSNA 182 ADVICE

i JUST GOT THE GP ARF CESSNA 182, PARTS LOOK GREAT, BUT I NOW HAVE TO DECIDE ON A SAITO 56 OR 72, I WILL APRECIATE ADVICE BECAUSE AS OF KNOW IM LEANING TOWARD THE 72 BECAUSE I CAN USE IT LATER ON ON BIGGER PLANES BUT I DON'T WANT TO OVERPOWER THE CESSNA, IF THIS IS GOING TO BE THE CASE?
ALSO I READ THAT THE FRONT LANDING GEAR IS VERY WEAK, CAN ANYONE ADVICE ON THE ROBART PART THAT WOULD FIT PERFECTLY THIS PLANE, I WOULD APRECIATE THE MODEL AND THE PART NUMBER TO GET THE RIGHT ONE.
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE.

Yes, buy the Satio 72 or the Satio 82. The Great Planes Cessna 182 I think is heavy and can use all the extra power it can get. Some people that I fly with who have had that airplane usually put a .50 2 stroke on it instead of a .46.

I had a OS70 on mine but pulled it out and subsituted a Saito 56 instead. The 56 has more than adequate power for scale flight and basic acrobatics. The lighter weight of the 56 allows for lower landing speeds. The GP Cessna 182 tends to tip stall so the 56 allowed me to land easier. This is important for me as our runway is rather short.

I would have to agree on the .56 Saito. Mine had a .46 AX, which provided plenty of power to do what ever I needed. In spite of the wider fuselage, the airframe is quite efficient and can pick up some respectable speed without much power.
