U-Can-Do .60 Engine Mounting

Hi,

I'm not sure if there's a post about this already but I'm trying to decide if I should mount my .91 4-stroke Magnum in my UCD 3D. Both of the online reviews available for this plane at the Great Planes website show the engines mounted upside down and one reviewer noted the possible problem with fuel flow.

My LHS guy suggested a horizontal mount like he uses in his racers but I'm thinking that will cause some lateral balance problems.

I do have a .91 2-stroke Magnum I can use instead, if the 4S is out. But the 2S carburetor seems like it will be a little low too.

Enough of my rambling. I'm looking for input from anyone who has set up this exact model, the U-Can-Do .60.

Thanks in advance for the help.

At the engine with a pump of problems will not be. Here a lot of useful on the given model [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_226620/anchors_226620/mpage_1/key_U%252DCan%252DDo/anchor/tm.htm#226620]Link[/link]

I rotated the engine mount 90 degrees, cut the cowl so the engine sticks out the right side. Runs great, flys great. A two stroke will tend to flood more than a 4 stroke.

good flying,

I fly a UCD .46, I know you wanted feedback on the exact model but this is its smaller brother so thought I would try to
help. I fly a .45 Super Tigre inverted and never have a problem. I was sceptical at first but it runs great and no problems
with flooding. Even after running it and fueling back up it does not flood. You'll love this airplane if its anything like its
little brother.
