GP Yak 54 on the way

Liked the looks of this one when I first saw it in tower's web. the manual is available online and this thing looks real good to me. Don't know what engine yet. DA-50 would be great, but alot of $$$. Alittle bigger than golberg's Yak. Hope I made a good choice. VF edge 540 is worn out. A guy deserves one new plane a year.

Actually it is smaller than the Goldberg, 1sq. in. LESS wing area and 5" shorter fuse.:eek::eek:

Picked it up at LHS. Looks like a real beauty. Almost perfect from what I've seen so far. According to my Stanley tape , GP Yak is 69" from rudder to face of cowl. If include the spinner it will be about 73" long. I klnow a guy with a Goldberg. Will have to get together and compare. These Arf's are an assembly not a build.

Let us know what everything weighs out of the box. I'm tetering between the GP Cap & Yak. The Cap seem to be a lot lighter than the Yak. I'm not into 3D but the lighter the better.

Does the GP Yak have removable stabs/elevators. The Golberg does, if the GP does not it could save a little weight. I like the looks of both.
