GP Pitts C/G

I just pulled my Q52 out of my Pitts and replaced it with a DA-50. Now I'm all mixed up on my C/G, can anyone tell me where the best C/G for this plane is. I'm looking for ease of flight not wild 3D stuff.

Also, can anyone tell me if the TNT gear really helps the landing/taking off of the 1/3 scale Great Planes Pitts?

Thanks Much,

Sheldon

I know there are a few of you guys still out there flying your Great Planes Pitts! Can you please let me know where to start my center of gravity at?

Please.....

Great Planes says its 5-5 3/4" Back from the top wing's leading edge. Seems like a good starting point. If you look the plane up Tower's site it will give you all of the tech notes for CG, throws, etc. Here's the link http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXAVP9&P=ML

RE: GP Pitts C/G

Thanks for your post. that is where I had it with the Q52 and I just remember (But can't seem to find the post) that a different C/G made the plane more managable especially on landing where my problem is. I was hoping someone would remember that.

Thanks much,

Sheldon
