Need some input please!

hello everyone, i have a question for ya! i just bought a new Great Planes Super Stearman ARF and i need some thoughts. does anyone know if a Moki 135 will be too big for this plane? i got a heck of a deal for a new one and its all i have to use on this stearman. i have been flying since last summer, but far from a pro. i know it has more power than recomended, but will it work without much trouble? any information or suggestions are appreciated. thanks![:o]

People are running 25 to 30 cc gas engines on this plane so I doubt the Moki is really too much. If it has more power than you need, just throttle back.

hdcomp,
The moki will not be too much. Myself and another flyer here both have o.s. 160's pulling it around. Granted I dont think I have ever been above 3/4 throttle with it but, having a big ol' 18" swinging in front of it sure looks good.

P.S. Perfect balance without adding any unused weight is always a good thing.

Well, er, isn't 1/4 of the OS 1.60 unused since you've never been above 3/4 throttle?:):D

If you're worried about the weight issue check out the full user review I did on the plane. More weight up front shouldn't hurt you as they want you to put up to 18 ounces of lead in the nose.

also don't forget only run 0 nitro fuel in the Moki, I have that engine on a Hanger9 Cap and it is a very high compression engine, But on the good side the fuel is only $6 a gallon at my LHS.
