I can see a large box sitting under my Christmas tree and I know it is my new SE ARF! EXCITEMENT! EXCITEMENT!!
Has anyone mounted a four stroker on it's side on a SE? I know I will have to cut off one of the cheeks. I was just wondering how it looks (any pics?). Merry Christmas! |

Just finished building my SIG SE with a pair of GP 40 floats. I am using an OS 46FX . . .

eh?
On its side? Why?
I have a YS .53 on mine. I also added a set of extra-tall landing gear from TNT in order to give enough clearance for 13" props. http://home.earthlink.net/~dojbofh/i...se-nose-13.jpg |

What is the TNT part number for the taller gear please?

Check out the photos in the Sig SE group on my .sig. One member mounted the engine on its side, and added a fiberglass cowl to it. Looks really nice, but quite a bit of the cowl has to be cut to allow it, the front of the SE isn't that big.

I mounted an os 70 surpass on one of mine last year, engine standing upright.
It was not the best engine selection I made in my live I had to balance the plane with weight in the tail, and put bigger weels to obtain suficient clearance for the prop. Mine was a kit. I don't own the plane anymore, but I have a other somethin'extra flying great with a 2 stroke |

Thanks for the replys, I'm still looking for a picture of a SE with a side mounted four stroker (I've got a Saito 72 on my old SE - will move it to the new one). I tried to use the SE Yahoo Users group but couldn't get the link to work.
