ULTIMATE 40 - THE WORLD MODELS
 

May I use a OS .70 4 Stroke ( 60 w, not the surpass ) engine at this plane, I'am asking it because I have one of this, some one do this instalation ? please contact me .

Hi,

I have the WM Ultimate flying on a Saito 45 and it's overpowered with that so a 0.70 is waaaay too much power and too heavy.

Ok, tank's I from brazil , but I will test this engine . I thing if this I can do a torkroll .

I have a asp 70 4 stoke in mine and it balances perfect without any extra weight.

I would put the Saito .82 in it so you'll be fine with the OS .70

The airplane was originally designed and marketed as a 30size airplane. Apparently nothing was done when WM decided to sell it as a 40size airplane other than change the labels on the boxes and the wording in the advertisements.

Think about your prop clearance. Fourstrokes swing lots larger props to get their performance. Will the prop you expect to hang on your 4stroke clear the ground?

As for torque rolls.... Don't expect the airplane to do 3D just because you're overpowering it. Look at the size of the surfaces on this WM Ultimate and then look at the size of those same surfaces on airplanes designed to do 3D.

just a reply to darock, if your saying that this ultimate cant do 3d because of its surfaces, it depends on what 3d, if you you wish to do torque rolls/hovers then i think that can be achieved and perhaps waterfalls. i do not own this model but am going to be getting one shortly but

my point is, i have a phoenix classic high-wing trainer, now you cant go ahead and say the control surfaces on that are too small, as i currently have one set up with a 46 ax, and am hovering/ torque rolling and doing waterfalls with this plane, and yes even get it into flat spins, and it holds up well to full power blenders, so i dont see how you can say control surfaces on an ultimate that are larger than a classic trainer cant do some 3d???!!!!
