SuperStunts 60 servo setup
Hello. I just bought a WM SuperStunts 60 from a guy at our field, and am now in the process of purchasing servos for this bad boy.
I've never had a plane that used more than 4 servos before, and this one takes four in the wing! Any hints on how to set this up? I have a Futaba 6XA, and was planning on buying the following: 1 Hi-torque servos for rudder 6 standard servos (2 ail, 2 flaps, 1 throttle 1 elevator). I am planning to put the two flap servos on a "Y" connector, and use two channels for for the two aileron servos. Is this the proper way to do it? I don't have seven channels, so I cannot use a channel for each servo. My thinking is that I could program flaparon on the ail servos, and along with the dedicated flaps, I could really get some strong flap action! Will this work? Does anybody have one of these? If so, could you suggest a proper setup? It looks like a cool plane, and I cannot wait to see how it flys. Regards, -RCC |

RCC check out this thread to see what some of us have done to our Super Stunt 60s.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...497&forumid=57 The servo setup and programming you decribed will work, but this plane is so light it doesn't really need all that full length flaps. You'll find that just the inboard flaps will get it floating in a 15mph wind all day long. To take full advantage of the quad flaps, you really need a computer radio that can do CROW or AIRBRAKES. But for now, your 6XA with flap action only will give you plenty of fun with this bird.. |
