Xmas Spacewalker

Received GP Spacewalker for Xmas. Need input on engine, 4strokes only, any thing I need to know before I start assembly.

I have been flying trainer for 1 year, what can I expect from Spacewalker?

Thanks for any help.

I have one and I chose the saito 100. Seems good but still had to add some nose weight. It all depends what you want to do with it. There is one at our field that has a magnum 120 and is much more of a "performer" than mine. What is your price range?

Just ordered one and will be putting a Magnum 1.20 in mine. Every one I've heard and seen built tail heavy, so the nose weight might as well be more engine. However, I have seem ones with FX.61 that flies just fine, even with plenty of lead in the nose.

NightFlyer,
You can expect great things from this plane. It will be an easy transition from your trainer and will allow to explore aerobatic flight. It will also not bite you on landing. I would recommend either a Saito 91 or OS 91 as there are one of each at my field and they both perform very well. I got to do the maiden on the OS powered one and it was a pleasure to fly.

Saw one of these last weekend with a G23. Did not have the cowl installed, looked like there might not be too much of the cowl left when it does get put on. Flew well.

We've got an OS .91 on ours and it's a great flying airplane with that engine. Still quite aerobatic and plenty of power. We knew about the tail heavy condition going in and put everything we could up front and only had to add 5 oz of lead. Got a little over 400 flights on it now.

I had one a couple years ago. I started with a Saito 91, it was tail heavy and underpowered, never really flew right that way.

I went to an OS 1.08 2 stroke, and the plane really came alive. NOt very scale like, but the additional power and speed really made it a different plane.
