RE: What plane is this?
I would say it's a Lanier Scamp. I had one 25 years ago, .30 size, actually a pretty good flying plane.

RE: What plane is this?
I'll guess it's a Lainer Comet from the early 80's, about 56' wing? would have at the time used a .45 to .61 engine. Plasctic covered foam wings and all plastic fuse? A real early ARF.......Cliff

RE: What plane is this?
The comets were high wing planes
It has a tail like a comet but it's low wing umm |
RE: What plane is this?
ORIGINAL: skiman762 The comets were high wing planes Check the wing span I think the Scamp had about 50 inch wingspan, and that's the way I remember it looking, mine had a canopy though, it glue to the teardrop looking part on the top of the fuse. |
RE: What plane is this?
I couldn't find the scamp

RE: What plane is this?
Didn't Lanier used to have seams running down the center of the fuse? They came in halfs and you had to c/a them together?
The tail looks more like an EZ kit. I think Great Planes EZ if I am not mistaken. Those kits were out in the late 80's. |
RE: What plane is this?
Couldn't find anything about the EZ kits...

Bill, Here's a pic of my old Jester..Same as P-51, but different gear... Mine came together, all I hadd to do was join the wings, put on the tail feathers and install hardware..radio..Top was one piece and bottom one piece of different color, already joined. Maybe e-mail Lainer and ask if anybody ther know...It is definatley a Lainer plane of the 70's - 80's.....Cliff
