I'm really impressed by the specs (and price) of this servo. I wonder who actually makes these Cirrus servos now. I have some Cirrus servos I bought more than 15 years ago and still use them mostly for throttle control. Back then, all Cirrus radio equipment was made by Futaba, the ones I still have are Futaba 148s with a Cirrus CS-248 label. I usually can tell by looking at specs and comparing them to name brand servos, for example I've seen some Tower and Hobbico servos that are made by Hitec while Tower and Hobbico receivers are made by Futaba.

Cirrus servos work OK for bashing on ground based stuff. I've tried a few in planes... poor centering, lousy resolution, poor over all control... I would not put them in another plane if they were FREE.

Are you talking specifically about this one (CDS750MG digital), or other analog Cirrus servos?

I've got one of the retract servos and am quite happy with it.

All of mine were analog... 63 mg come to mind and a few others from mini to standard... just about the time I forgot how bad the last one was I see one that looked good... never turned out very good though. The digital's may be different... I won't spend another dime to find out;)

I have a ARF built Sig 1/4 scale Extra 300XS with Cirrus CS-80, 2BB Supper Torq. servo installed as a pull/pull rudder servo for this model. Is this a good choice?

I'm curious about the Cirrus digital line of servos. I tried the cheap-o Tower Pro servos, and they were horrible. I had to send them back to the Chinese Ebay seller I got them from. They had poor centering, poor resolution, poor speed, and they over-shot the stop point on high throws to a very perceptible degree. The Cirrus servos look suspiciously similar, so I hope they're not made by the same people...
