Try 3 seebees

Arizona and seebee are very high priced. I put a suggestion in with Hanger9 and Great Planes to come out with either Axis WWI and or WW2 Scale Warbirds. I did ask Great Planes to re-issue the 60 ARF Fokker Dr-1. When a price of a ARF Warbird exceeds over $500 I tend to look for something else... not unlike many others.

I don't think I'm the only one here that lives on a tight budget, and we need to get that accross to some of these manufactures as well. Paying high prices don't always make a better model from what I've read in the reveiws.

Hangar9 has released the Sopwith and its looks really sharp.

Kinda WWI erra-ish is the P-6 from GP. I love mine with a YS 120 in it.

it does seem that there are not many ARF's in this class but it also seems that there is some chnage in the industry

Very true, they are however slow to change... but they're changing. I guess you can only sell so many ARF P-51's, P-47's, Cubs, Spits, Edges and Extras etc. Then the business slows down. I used to work in a Hobby Shop a long time ago, when I was in the business we all had to adapt and change to become successful in the Market.

My boss failed to do that along with the lack of advertisement, and our store closed in 1996. It's part of the supply and demand thing to keep it all going. Online Sales is king these days, so it's good to hire a good Web Designer. That's something our Hobby Shop didn't have back then. Personally I buy all my Planes Online... my Fuel, Batteries, Glue, Paint, Ultra-kote, Hardware and Tools I buy at a Local Hobby Shop.

That ARF comes out heavy. Lots of plywood and needs lots of nose weight. The GP Dr 1 only needed a modest amount of weight in the nose and it had a shorter moment. The Hanger 9 weighs about 9 pounds complete or about a pound more than the GP Dr 1.
