they have what you call application fluid to spray on before you apply but i use soapy water, this allows you to move the decal around a bit to make sure it is right, then squeegie out the bubbles with a squeegie (or your wet fingers;))
the link below sells anything you need, also will make you some pretty neet decals;) here is a pic of a decal they made for my granddaughters plane i built. http://www.speedysigns.com/accessories/ |
RE: decal application
Thanks, I always dread applying my decals and never bothered to ask proper application. Seems simple.

RE: decal application
The most important thing is to take your time and have patience. The second most important thing is to clean the area that the decal is going very well with denatured alcohol or similar prior to applying. Also, depending on the type of adhesive used, simple Windex works well as an application fluid and dries slightly faster than soapy water. You can use a credit card or just a balled up paper towel as a squeegee to get the bubbles out after you get the decal placed where you want it.

RE: decal application
i agree with akfiremedic on all but the credit card squeegee. i use a credit card on hard surfaces but not on a balsa plane, will put gouges into the wood;)
