Everybody is always looking for a good deal, or the best price on something. I though it would be fun to start this thread out with an item, and then see if somebody else can find some place on the Internet that beats that price. No venders, or advertisers please! A MOD WILL DELETE YOUR POST. This is just for RCU members who are non venders or advertisers! I just thought it would be fun to to see who can actually find the best price on something. Kinda like a Treasure Hunt. Just something fun to try for those who want to participate, and in the process someone might find a better deal on something then they think they could have gotten. Again I will state! NO ADVERTISERS OR SELLERS should post here! If you as a regular member think you know a place with the best price we will try to find some place to beat it. No used items please, or auction items. If you can please include shipping information if available, because this should also be figured into a price. This is a ARF/RTF forum, so only things related to this please!

OK, I'll play along.

Lanier Razor 40 - $99.99 + $8 handling fee = $108 to my door step

Seagull SuperStar 120 - $99.99 + tax + shipping = $118 to my door step

The things about good deals, they don't last. You have to move when you see them or they vanish.

You sure posted some good deals there, because I can't find anywhere outside Lanier itself that can top those prices! I'm going to do some more hunting, but sure looks like you might have found the best deal available anywhere on those two Planes.

I got two! I test flew one of the SS for another club member, great flying plane, it will snap if you're ham fisted on the elevator though. One ham fisted club member bought 6, he's down to 4 now.[&o] You know about the fix need on the floor and sides behind the landing gear? BTW I got two for $216, I don't think I had to pay tax.

Oh I got 2 Sonic pylon racers for a $100+s&h

It does no good to beat a price if there is no thread to find the plane.

Buy (2) or more ZDZ 50 NG's with pitts mufflers. $625 shipped each. You have to talk to someone there and ask for the price. They don't advertise it. I bought three and Mike threw in the prop drill jig. All this for $1875 shipped. That's over a $100 savings on each engine when you include the free prop jig and free shipping.

Sorry gang, the SS was going for that price back in Oct and Horizon doesn't even have it listed anymore. The Razor was on sale on Lanier webiste until the 18th, which ended before this thread was started. Lanier now has the price back up to $209 on their website.

I can show you my receipts for proof. :D
But that wont help you get one for that price.

Like I said, it's a deal becuase it doesn't last. Luckily I have a wife that likes to say, "Yeah, buy that one... it's cute." [8D]
And my mom said not to marry her. LOL

Cckangaroo, you asked for it, so here it is.

Lanier is now offering the Razor and a GMS 40 for $129.99. Enter the discount code, GMSRZR, when you check out. If you look at their website it shows the Razor for $129.99, but I guess if you order the engine also and put in the code it'll change the price. The sale ends Jan 8th.

I got mine already but plan on putting a Saito 72 or a Magnum 52 up front.

it was not on the internet. i found it in a hobby shop a little over a year ago.. i bought a sig 'somethin extra" arf for a $149.00. the shop owner had the arf on his shelf for a long time and could not sell it so he sold it to me for $149.00 plus tax . it was not until after i bought it i realized what a deal i got. tower hobbies was selling them for slightly over $200.00.!!!!!

Go to ebay , hit in Nitro /gas powered rc planes , dont get emotionally attached to any bid and you will win .
I watched a zero go for $145 plus shipping (just the other day )because the buyer had to have it , when the same plane , same seller goes for $90 to $99 with shipping included .
So wait your turn , if its at $50 with 4 days left , leave it alone , that is way to high , you want one with $3.00 or $5.oo ect in bids , they will go for under $100 .
