Dymond Stearman

Anyone had experiance with Dymond Stearman??
Not enough info on the Website, I'm looking for a big old Round bodied bipe to haul around my 4 stroker gas engine.
The size and price are right,,If the quality is decent, and if the claimed weight is anywhere near right.

I have seen this ship hanging in their store and it looks good. If I had not already purchased the Aeroworks pt I would have bought this one, at a much better price.

I have one. Looks good in the box.

Only problem is there aren't any instructions or parts list.....

An E-Mail to Dymond didn't get a response...I guess I'l have to call...

Seems to be an ongoing story. Ya can get a decent model from some of these manufacturers, but horrendous manuals. You would think the model construction would be the hard part!

Does Dymond have a web site? What is the wingspan of their Stearman?

It looks a bit Mickey Mouse to me. The proportins & shape don't look right, the landing gear is fiction[:'(]

Take a look at Great Planes> better looking 4 sure

Hey Tailgunner; Could ya pop that box open for me and measure the cowl diameter???
I gotta make sure I can stuff my Honda 4 stroke in there..

RE: Dymond Stearman

The cowl is 8" round in front, 8 1/2" by 9 1/4" in the back (it has a flat bottom, I measures across the center of the vertical and horizontal axes) and the length is 6" (or so)....

I think the plane is the same dimensions as the Aero works PT-17.

While looking at the plane I noticed that the upper wing has the red stripes on the bottom of the wing....they should be on top...Hope that's the only thing they got backwards...
