Bought this Flitecraft Extra 300 on Ebay UK a while ago.
Maiden flight this weekend. Anybody else got one?

haD ON LONG TIME AGO...FAST BIRD, TRACTS well, dosn't like to slow down...flys a wee bit heavy on the sticks.
Give yourself plenty of time to bleed of the airspeed, and keep up the speed close to the ground...46FX was fine, oh, and this is one tough plane, BTW.

Good luck on the maiden,

Flitecraft 300. . . .

I've got one all set and ready to go in my basement. It's got a Magnum 61 2-stroke in it. This one is actually my second one as I had one a few years back along with an Aerobat 152 and a Bonanza. I liked the Flitecrafts as they were relatively easy to put together and inexpensive. They don't last too awful long though, maybe 50-60 flights and they start to crack in some important areas. Good flyers, though, as the Bonanza was one of my favorites.

Absolutly the worst plane I ever bought or flown and there have been many.take that .61 and bolt it to a brick,it will probablly fly better. It will keep you on your toes.Good luck

One thing I meant to ask in earlier post.

CoG what is reccomended? I do not have the instructions so I have set it 25 to 30% of the wing cord. If anyone has actual figures I would appreciate them.

Cheers

I crashed mine on its first flight and never tried it again. Someday I'll set it up again. Can't tell you anything about it's flying but here is the CG info from the manual.

Well It's flown twice today, 3 right clicks for straight and level flight. It was bit too windy to really get a feel for it, the ailerons are much more responsive than I thought, considering they are very narrow, but they wern't a problem.

Loads if down ele required for inverted flight, 4 point rolls are axial.

It does drop a wing if you slow it down too much but it's not the first low wing i've owned that does this. Going to trim back the elevator tonight to get some more throw on the rudder for knife edge.

Engine much noisier than in previous model, must resonance in the plastic fuz? Anyone else had this?

Will try again tommorrow, not really disapointed so far.

All my fault. I was doing high speed taxi test at one end of the pits and it got airborne before I expected it to. I tried to stay off of the runway (bad decision) and tried to do a 180 with the air speed too low.... Tip stall...... Crash

Tuff little bird.... not much damage but I just haven't got around to setting it up again. Needed the servos and radio for another plane. This was summer of 2000 (I think) Today I would not have made the same mistake (I hope)

Hope you enjoy yours!
Jim
