Saito 82 needs a home.

I have a great running Saito 82 that now could use a home. I'm looking for something aerobatic but still relaxing to fly. I'm thinking about a Sig Something Extra, or possibly a Rascal 40, but the 82 might be too much for that one. Any suggfestions? ( no Sticks please).

Thanks,

Dave

Try a Goldberg Tiger 60 or a Sig 4-Star 60.

I got a seagull harmon rocket 3. It flys good. Its simple to fly and it does the aerobatic stuff. I flew mine for the the first time this weekend. I loved it except when it dead sticked and I over shot the runway and went the tall grass. I have a YS 63 on mine. There is a guy on the seagull harmon rocket thread that put a 82 on his. There are some pics with it on there.

if you want something relaxing but FUNNN then the UCD 46 is the perfect plane for that engine.

Great planes RV-4, Goldberg Tiger, or maybe the best bet for your criteria would be a sig astro-hog. 82 would be great for the monowing astro-hog on wheels, a hog bipe or mono on floats really needs a 91.

Great Plane RV4 is very nice, flies well and looks great
WM Rambler 45 - feels like a big plane and is very aerobatic, quite fun to fly, put a bunny pilot with long ears and do some low fly by ...
WM CAP 232 is good too
Fliton Extra 330 is a beautiful all rounder for aerobatics/3D she is my favourite for scale aerobatic planes in the 40 sized category. Not hard to fly at all and its a beauty.

I agree, I think the fliton extra 330 has got to be my favorite aerobatic plane, its so forgiving.

Yep, send it to me...I'll give it a good home, I even have one already so it wouldn't be lonely.
Seriously, great engine. I'll second the Fliton Extra 330 or Edge 540, also look at the new Hangar 9 Showtime 50.

The Saito .82 is the perfect replacement for a strong .40 - .53 two-stroke. It is NOT equal to a good .60 two-stroke. It takes a .91 to do that.

Thanks guys, lots of choices here. Just makes a decision a bit harder.

Nope, this is one four stroke I'll hang on to. Not easy for a dedicated two stroke fan like me to say that either.;)

Put it in a Twist 40. Fantastic combo.

That Saito 82 would fit Perfect in one of these! A Sig Astro Hog.

That's a gorgeous Astrohog! Unfortunately, I'm one of those who really doesn't have time to build a kit. In fact, it took me six months just to finish up my last ARF ( Sportsman Aviation Excelleron 90.)

Actually, I've about decided to go with the 50 size Excelleron since the 90 turned out nice.

Thanks again guys.

I just got an 82 and am thinking Fliton Edge or the GP Chapman Cap 40 size. Any suggestions between the two?

Personally I would go with the Fliton Extra 330. Very nice plane.
For the original question I would go with either the U Can Do 46 or the Fliton Extra 330. The 82 is a perfect match for either of those. I've been flying a U Can Do with an 82 for about 2 years now and they are lots of fun and relaxing to fly all at the same time.

RE: Saito 82 needs a home.

You might want to try the GP U-CAN-DO 40 size. The engine is just right for it and it will satisify any craving you want. Fly slow and the plane will crawl down the runway, fly fast and you get unlimited vertical. I should know I have one flying with the 82

the saito 82 is perfect for the fliton extra freestyle. i have had this plane for 2 years and still love it. mine is a hair over 6lbs with the 82 setup.

RE: Saito 82 needs a home.

I agree here. Mine is right at 6lbs and flies great with the Saito .82 on 25% nitro. Some people don't think it is enough power, but it works really well imo. Most of the FL Extras I've seen with Saito 1.00s end up around 6.5lbs - 6.75lbs. which I think is too heavy. The vertical might be like a rocket, but the overall handling suffers due to the extra weight.
