Looking for an ARF

I am looking for an arf. I plan to use it in a large field behind my house, so I need something that handels rough ground. Planning to put big wheels on it. Any suggestions would be helpfull. Thanks!

Hangar 9 P51 Mustang PTS.
It's a good flying plane and it already has large wheels.

Or

MoJo (arf is available from Billy Hell RC). Put a 55 or bigger 2 stroke (Or 82 or bigger 4 stroke) on the 46 size and it won't be on the ground for very long. We can take ours off in about a metre of ground run by mixing in Flaps and Elevator, then holding the plane (and up elevator at the same time) while it spools up and letting it go. The also land with nearly no ground run if you practise harriers.

Big wheels ??? - it is a huge aerodynamic distruction. Try anyone airplane with and without the
landing gear and the difference is seen immediately even if the wheels are not big. Easiest and
the best for fun seems to be NexStart of Towerhobbies. On that one you can firm the fuselage
with a layer of fiber glass on the botom, place the propeller so it is horizontal when the engine
will stop (by incoming airflow, prior compression point) and make sure you shut-off the engine
prior landing. Take off is from hand easily. NexStar has also many other advantages for fun than
other nice looking scale or 3D plane, that is why it is having outstanding popularity.

what size engine are you going to use with this model? Do you prefer fun fly's, aerobatics, scale etc?

more input so we can give you better opinions :)

I don't reallly care what type of plane it is, but I was hoping to go with something big...... maby putting in a 1.20 four stroke.

:)One of the great all purpose airplanes are the H-9 Ultra Stick. They are pretty darn tough. I fly mine with pretty big wheels. They are fun and very easy to fly. They make them in a 40, 60 and 120 size. My personal favorite is the 120. Handles wind very well and flys good. I power mine with a mighty 110. Ready to fly weight less fuel is 9lbs 0ozs. I'll even do a lot of 3D stuff, but not good on the rolling harriers and KE. Will hover and do pretty good waterfalls, and is just a blast to fly. For a cow pasture plane...can't beat them.

Thanks
Barry

Anyone care to find out how large is the large field? :) Let's assume the field is really large and safe for flying, with rough ground you want to stay away from light planes such as the H9 F90 etc, the UC will rip out on landing if the field is that rought. Profiles are fun and they can take a beating. Then if its sports flying you got things like the WM Super Sports Senior. Scale planes like a WM Extra 330 60 is pretty nice to fly.

CMpro have a very nice Cessna 182 that will take your 120 four stroke, it has a 83 inch wing span, they have a nose wheel which will be easy to land and take off because a tail dragger would get caught in the rough groung and nose over.
