Second plane ARF?
I’m looking for a low wing second plane. Either a 40 or 60. I’ve looked at hanger 9 but it seems like they have only trainers or performance. Do they have an in-between?
How about another company? |
RE: Second plane ARF?
Try the Pulse XT from Hangar 9. A couple of months ago there was a review in 3D Flyer magazine by a friend of mine. Excellent plane.
The 4*40 is good, so is the Tiger 2, but the trim tends to peel unless you paint clear over the edges. Ironing only delays the peeling. I'd also consider an Ultra Stick 40. You can do flaps or even quad flaps. The Ultra Stick has a flat wing for better acro than the Big Stick. I have both. |
RE: Second plane ARF?
Yep
Ultra stick - one of the best all round planes there is. Easy to handle, capable of a lot and a simple design. Don't be fooled into thinking they are just another high wing trainer - they are far from it. They just don't waste wood or covering adding the bits that aren't needed on the fuselage, they are more of a shoulder wing configuration if you look at the thrust lines etc. Otherwise Hangar 9 PTS Mustang - without much of the "go slow" stuff on it (maybe leave the wing droops on at first) Seagull Spacewalker Kangke Skydancer Hangar 9 Twist The list is nearly endless |
