Spitfire Wheel Covers
 

I would like to hear any suggestions on how to attach the wheel covers on a H9 Spitfire. I am having problems with the supplied hardware. It doesn't always clear the front of recess in the wing on the left side which does not let the gear fully retract. I have bent the gear strut where the problem is but to when bent far enough to minimize, not totally eliminate the problem, the tire hits the back of the wheel well. Also get in the habit of checking pre-installed retracts. I found the set screw holding the left gear on was not tightened.
