Realflight
Hello. I am ready to purchase realflight2 and I have a couple of questions. My wife and I both have our own seperate computers. We also have our own seperate TX's. What i was wondering was what do I need to order that will allow us both to use our own TX's in our own computers? thanks for your help.

You don't need to order anything special... you can take the adapter and plug it in to any computer's parallel port. I haven't tried this, but its just a simple cable. You plug a cable into your Tx and that cable connects to another attached to the computer via the parallel port.
Not sure about the new USB version of RealFlight, tho. Does this help or are you more confused? |

You will have to purchase a second interlink controller even though you are planning on using your own TX's. The controller has the interface built in, and you cannot(as far as I know) bypass the interlink controller and connect directly from your own TX to the computer.

Does the controller use a USB port?

If you are buying a new version, it will come with the USB "Interlink" controller. With the supplied hardware, you will be able to use either the supplied interlink controller OR your own TX through the link in the back of the controller. I am assuming that you want to buy one copy of Realflight and install it on two of your computers. To do this, you will have to buy a second Interlink controller.
