Need Quick answer on H-9 T=Craft

Is there supposed to be right thrust on the engine? the engine mounts to the left of center but the spacers do not provide for any thrust offset. I'm using a G-23 and the dowel spacers are all the same lenght. Thanks

I believe the right thrust is built into the firewall already. You can check it by using a dowel and small block of wood tack glued to the firewall in place of the engine and put on the cowl and see if it lines up correctly.

It just doesn't sound right mounting the engine off center of the thrust line like that. I didn't want to run into problems later. Bill

Hey Jerry thanks for the info. With the G23 how did you come out on the CG? Did you have to add weight? Did you use the standard servo setup? Am working on mine now and could use any and all input. thanks.

The off set of engine is to aline the prop shaft in tye cowl opening.thrust is built in the firewall.did you see the H.9 addendum on mouting a G 23 gas engine, section 12, installing the gas engine. i used one servo and pushrod for ea ELV 1/2. i mounted one servo in the standerd hole and i mounted the other one in the thotle hole. i cut a new hole for thotle. i did not ues the the stock tires or the wheel pants. i fly from grass and needed larger tires. my C.G is at 4 1/4.

OK, It's mounted and everything lined up like it's supposed to. Thanks everyone. I also used 2 servo's on elevator with Rudder in the middle. Spring tailwheel and a beacon light mounted in the rudder and gonna mount some landing lights between the landing gear. I would put them in the wings but I can't tell for sure how beefy the leading edge is. I'm gonna go one size bigger on the wheels but they should still fit in the pants.
