Best Plane for a .91FS
 

Hi
I was origonaly looking at the Funtana 40 and the X50 but now I've found somthing that I like alot better. The Fliton Extra 330s Freestyle. I only have a .91 FS and I don't know if what it will be like in this plane. Will it be a good 3Der with the 91? Also will futaba 3001 servos have enough torque for 3D'ing?

Marrk - the 91 with a 15x4W should be ok ... slightly nose heavy but not too much I think. She flies better than the F40, more versatile for sure as its a big 40 sized plane. I would not go with the 3001, you will need a bit more torque and also you do not want take the risk of the plastic gears stripping if you fly her slightly hard. I used JR539s on 6V and that was ok.

I want to use Futaba servos so which ones of Futaba would be equal or pretty close to the JR 539 servos?

Marrk - if you can try to get the 9402s ... they are kinda outdated now but they are great analog servos. I think the 3305 is about the same as the JR539s. If you want to spend more then the VR/VB are also great servos. Why not go with Hitec, they are reliable and cheap ... If you go to the ARF thread you will see the guys there use better servos on the FL Extra, I do not fly that much 3D so the JRs were ok for me.

I've ordered the Filton Extra 330 today and I can't wait to get it:D. Hopefully it will be here by the weekend so I can start the build.
