4* 40 aileron question?
I’m setting up the throws on my new 4* 40. I have dual rates and want to set the ailerons up for 5/8 on low and ¾ or more on high. The problem is how to get 3/4 or more. I have the links all the way out on my servo and I have to screw the control horn down on the control rods. Then the horn moves so much it’s causing to much pressure on my servo and they are buzzing.

high torque servos maybe?

RE: 4* 40 aileron question?
well...will the ailerons travel further without the servos connected to the linkage?

RE: 4* 40 aileron question?
If i can assume you arent forcing the extra travel....maybe try a higher torque servo.

RE: 4* 40 aileron question?
It’s not the force. To get the travel I have to screw down the control horns on the rods. There is so much movement that they don’t stay in line with the servo wheel and put pressure on it.

A pic of what you're talking about would help. You should be able to get that throw out of it no problem. You mentioned wheel, I'd ditch the wheel and use a regular double arm servo horn.

I’ll try a picture tomorrow. I am using the two arm servo horn. Any 4* owners have there throws set high on the ailerons?
