4-stroke for H9 46ARF Cub

Will a OS52 or Saito 56 4stroke be enough engine for H9 ARF Cub, the 46 2-stroke size? Also will the engine fit on the engine mount that comes with it?

More than enough engine...
Don't know about the mount.
Just back from a day of flying mine powered by the Evo 46. Can fly it all day at about three clicks off idle. I had one flight that was 28 mins and still had 1/3 tank left! That's a LOT of touch and goes!l

I have the same Cub, I'm putting it together right now. I messed up the covering with the heat gun... it pulled apart from the frame. I'm going to order another frame because I hate carving a brand new ARF. [:@] And I like the fact that the engine is well hidden. Also, I put my Fuel Dot too close to the Gas tank... you know, right where the real fuel cap is in front of the windscreen on the full size J-3?

I might tear off all the Ulta of the old fuse and recover, fill the hole and etc and use the old fuse as a spare. Just made a bunch of mistakes with my measurements, heat gun being to hot... and melting one of my stickers.:D

Glad I have a good job to pay for all my screw ups. Learning things the hard way, but atleast I'm learning! :(

A .56 will be just fine, plenty of power. My H-9, I believe, had a wooden engine mount, a couple of rails that fit in square holes in the firewall, and some bracing. Mine is the older ARF, yours may be different. I'd recommend filling the holes with epoxy, and while you're at it, reinforce the firewall attachment to the fuse, and then get a nylon or aluminum mount for the Saito. Dave Brown makes a nice engine mount, it has a round flange and you can mount it any direction. Just make sure you ask for the 4-stroke mount, the rails are longer than the 2-stroke mount.

If you go with the different mount, just check placement and keep it the same as the factory location. Great flying plane; I have a .72 in mine, with floats it weighs 11 pounds. I've flown 25 minutes on a tank (the stock one) because I rarely go past half throttle.
