Super Decathlon-3D??
I have a Seagull Super Decathlon .40. I have a Saito 100 for it.. I am thinking of trading the 100 for a 125 Saito. This plane is almost 8 lbs.And I like My birds over powered..I know this seems a bit on the edge, but I know of no one who has went big on an SD.
Anyone can hover a 540 Edge..but I want the baddest SD...The 125 is onlt 5 oz more weight.. any recommendations??? Thanks.. MG |

RE: Super Decathlon-3D??
piroflip2, thanks for responding...the advertised weight is 7-8lbs.
Here is a link to the review here on RCU.. http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...article_id=415 I have seen at least 2 Cubs & 1 SD using small (.46 size engines) start to take off, drop a wing and crash. I know that the short tail moment is the biggest problem and trying to get the plane in the air to quickly causes the crash. But each time i saw this ,it seemed as though there was not enough power to pull it out of harms way. I understand that you need flying speed, but on My 3D planes ,the thrust is so much higher than the weight that I can drag the plane around. I was wondering if this was possible with the SD. It is an experiment as no one I know wants to fly the SD, except Me.. They are into the 540 Edge, and other highly aerobatic planes.. I just really like the SD and want to have a 3D monster.. Something way different Best Regards, MG |
