U-Can-DO .60 prop. Recommendation

Just received my UCD today. I will be running it with the O.S. 61SF-P (pumped) motor. The instructions say nothing over 6 inches of pitch. All the props I have for the engine that O.S. reccommended are in the 7-9 pitch range, 11 and 12 in diameter. These worked fine on my other plane, but the UCD says no more than 6 on pitch. I did buy a 3 blade 11X7 and 12X6 prop for it because of never flown a tail dragger before, and figured this was safe too keep the prop away from the ground while I learned. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

I am not familiar with that engine. Is it an older model

I am running an ASP 13 X 4 wide prop on an OS 61 -- it has been a happy combination for me.
Plenty of power without building up excessive speed. I am sure it would flutter if you get too fast. Just my 2 cents worth. I have many great flights on my Ucando.

Cambo,
Hope this helps. Best I can come up with.

Vaughan,

Thanks for the info. Is that the same as an APC 13X4w? Have to call towers up and send the props back I got because of the pitch for the plane and wanted to exchange or get what I needed from them.

Thanks
Todd

Yes. I tried these on a Thunder Tiger 61, on a 60 size trainer after using 12x6 for a long time. Thrust was great, speed was low. Unfortunately I tend to drop the nose when landing so I break a lot of props. The 13x4W costs a lot more than a 12x6 so I switched back.
