I've not seen a Taylor Craft recently, how about a Super Decathlon? I've got a Global 52 that's a spunky flyer.

Cheers! BH

I'm not sure if anyone makes a smaller TaylorCraft ( 40 to 60 size) but LANIER makes a kit T-Craft in the 91 to 120 size! If thats the size ur looking for go here

A Decathlon is a good idea, but I can't have a plane with a wingspan longer than 75 inches, because I have a toyota echo hatchback (a really small car) and I don't have room for a longer wing.

I was hopping for something with a 40 to 91c.i. as engine

Check out www.kmp.ca for their T-craft-40 size arf. kinda "pricey" but I have been flying mine now for over 2 years and it hasnt fallen apart yet. Recently converted it to a float plane--was tired of Cubs on floats ;):D

The Kondor Taylorcraft looks pretty nice. How is the overall quality of the product and how much was assembled ( ie : control surfaces installed control horns ,etc )

thanks

You can pick up a Phoenix Decathlon .46 size with a 66" wingspan thats a blast to fly. The takeoffs will be a handful unless you slowly throttle up to take off, then its a piece of cake. The plane is inexpensive and a solid build. Its not a light plane but the response is quick and the plane is very fast at full throttle. I can catch up to most planes at our field with mine. :D

I dont think so.....its for electric 480 , which is about the same as 1.5cc engine , NOT a .40.......[X(]
