Have you built a Thunder Tiger trainer 40... Please help

About the only issue that I have is the way the elevator connects to the push rod.
The instructions say to route the rod through and out the end of the fuse then attach a clevis and connect to the horn thing.

There isn't enough room in the back of the fuse where the rod exits for a clevis to attach while giving enough throw for the elevator.

Any hints?

I could open the hole up some more, but I don't want to compromise the structure back there.

Backwing:

It's awkward, but what you have to do is mark the pushrod for the depth to be screwed in the clevis, disconnect the pushrod from the servo. Pull the rod part way out the back, screw the clevis on to the mark. Then take the horn off the elevator to connect the clevis, then with the clevis attached to the horn put it back together. If it's not adjusted right, do it all over again.

And, if you find after all this you really don't have room for full travel, carefully enlarge the hole until you have the needed clearance. But I think you'll find there's more room than it seems before it's all put together.

Bill.

Enlarging the hole a bit won't compromise the structure. That's not a stress-bearing area.
