Yes. I have one under construction. I am installing a Saito 100 for power. It will have better gear doors and a more complete and scale cockpit. The kit is very complete and everything is well built and covered as all World Models planes are that I have built. Components fit nicely and all the fiberglass parts are the correct color match. The installed gear is adequate, but working struts would look better of course. Over all, I really like this plane.

OK I have one on the way , can u tell me , A , cowl diameter and distance from firewall to prop , B, are the retracts air or servo actuated ... thanks

The retracts are mechanical not air, and the rest I will have to check on later as the plane is at my brothers house.

I maidened my AT-6 today...all went well. There was some minor trim adjustments, but other than that I felt the flight was uneventfull. My landing was a bit ugly as I have not flown in awhile and this is my first plane with flaps. Being that I have never used flaps before, I did not use them on the first flight. There was a strong cross wind that picked up during the flight, and I landed hot and bounced her in. With the wide stance of the main gear and the way they are pushed out forward it saved me from a broken prop. Other than some road rash on the wing tips there was no damage. I used the recomended control throws. On the second flight I switched to hi rates and found the plane to have a much better response to alerion inputs. I had to go around twice because I got too slow on final and started to lose control of her. I abandoned the 3 point landing and kept throttle in and landed fast. I was able to make a very nice 2 point landing. I'm guessing as I learn to use flaps I will be able to make better landings. My OS 91 FS has enough power but not much left for getting out of trouble. I flew in the pattern at just above half throttle. My Texan was a little nose heavy with the recommended 5.3 inches CG i placed the battery pack as far back as I could and that leveled the plane out. Not much for burning holes in the sky...but the scale flyers will be happy with it. And of course it sounds awsome!!!

In conclusion...I'm happy with the plane. It went together easily and it flys great. The FS 91 is not as fast as I'd like, but it is very scale

So you had no extra weight or added weight up front , just the OS 90 and it was still a bit nose heavy ???

Nope...no extra weight (heavy engine?). I just had to rearrange the radio componets to balance it. The plane balanced level after moving the battery to the rear. I figured with fuel it would be a little nose heavy. Good luck with your gasser. Let me know how it flies.

Well Im still going to use the gasser , but thanks to your posts will be able to keep all the gear more rearwards , but will prob need some weight in the tail;)

Not sure if you guys are still watching this post...just wondering how you guys plan on landing this plane. It lands hot and I have never used flaps before. I did a little research on this cite, but I would rather hear from someone who has flown the same plane as mine. I have a lot of flaps dialed in looks like 40 degrees or better. I know you need to have some power left in. Just looking for some helpful tips. I know what flaps do...so we don't need to get into that discussion. I guess my questions are How much? When? Throttle control? Flare? And what to expect and watch out for once deployed. Thanks fellas.

in the review on RCU he ADDED 2lbs to the firewall with an OS914str , whats going on ...someone straighten this out ????

Well, 2 lbs seems to be an awlful lot of weight to me. In less I measured the CG's wrong. I used the numbers in the manual. I didn't have a problem with the way the plane flew. And like I said...just the simple move of the batery pack helped with the nose being heavy.

It was my first plane with flaps too. Just use 'em you'll like them. I have about 45 degrees. 2 lbs in the nose must be a misprint, I used 2 1/2 oz.

Well Im putting the 26cc gasser in and leaving ALL the radio and ignition system and its batts , till the last thing , then I can use their weight to get the balance rite


You did balance it as per the instructions didnt you ????

HELP....HELP....HELP

Ive got the 26cc gasser in and its built with NO gear in yet and its balancing pretty close to what I think is the CoG
Is it measured back from the front of the wheels edge where the two wing keys plug into the bulkhead , or from the actual leading edge of the wing outboard of the wheel wells (back a bit ) a difference of 1.1/4"
????????????
