Hey guys,
I just bought an Great Planes Ultra Sport 40 ARF, and would like to know the good and the bad things about this plane if anyone knows any.
Thanks

Aren't you supposed to ask that question BEFORE you buy? :D

I can't speak for the ARF, but if it flies as well as the kit version (which I have heard it does) it just may become one of your all time favorite planes. I have had 3 of the kit versions, and it is an incredable flier!

It's one of those planes that I keep ready at all times.

Built both the kit and the ARF. I thought the kit was easier to assemble. The ARF had a lot of plastic that did not fit well. The ARF was also much heavier, which made low power characteristics different from the kit. My rudder would stick on mine due to the plastic peeling. This happened causing a tip stall during a deadstick resulting in a total loss of the plane. It is hard to repair foamboard. The color began to fade after one summer.
The ARF was a pretty plane, mine was blue and got a lot of compliments at a mall show.

You should have fun with this plane, but if you can, find a kit, could be already built, I got one last year at auction and flies oh soo well.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm looking forward to actually getting to fly it some time this week, if the weather holds out!
