Muffler for DP Extra 330 with BME 50 ?
 

I intend to install a BME 50 on a DP Extra (version 3). I purchased a pitts style muffler with the engine but I now realize that the muffler conflicts with the engine box and prevents the proper engine location vertically (i.e. the engine is approximately 1/4" low). I will have to modify the engine box for the muffler to work. I am trying to decide whether to perform this mod or just use the stock type muffler.

I would appreciate input from anyone who has dealt with this specific problem. Thanks in advance.
