Opinions on GiantscalePlanes ARFs?
 

Guys,
I'm considering the 120-160 sized Giantscale planes Staudacher. It's like $289 or something like that. Anyone care to share their opinion on these arf's and their quality? Thanks for the help in my decision. Also considering Yellow Aircraft.

Well......I just bought a second hand 103" span GSP Edge 540. While the quality is not a 10 out of 10, I would give it an 8. Overall it's prettiy nice. I do have a Yellow Aircraft Extra 300 1.20 size that I'm not impressed with. Why? The wood quality is poor on a good portion of it. It's covered with Monocote not Ultracote/Oracover. Sheeting is very thin. I've never flown it because I got the leftovers from a minor wreck. Having peiced most of it back together, I'm not really sure I want to finish it.

Hey Paul, although im not familiar with that plane you had mentioned, I will say that GSP seems to have a love em or hate em type of reputation. I have recently begun to deal with them since i discovered that they are just about in my backyard. I have three planes from GSP (Chipmunk, G-202 46 size, Corsair). I too cannot say that these planes are not without there problems (there isnt to many ARFs that arent). But the overall quality was not too bad and when i presented my problems to the guys at GSP they have been more than accomadating. Ive heard about all the trouble people have had in the past with GSP but I truly think that there are some different people in there now who are really trying to change that negative perception. For what its worth. Todd
