PZ T-28 Off Of Grass??

Anybody fly the Park Zone T-28 off of close cut grass? Just wondering if its got enough power to ROG up off of grass like you would find on your average decently kept club field.

I fly one off grass, no problem on take off. Give it a little up elv. when you touch down it likes to nose over.

It can do it, but grass must be short and well-clipped. For normal grass, I went to 3" light foam wheels in front and 2.5" light foam wheels in rear. It will take off about 50% of the time. Power is not the problem, just clearance. Yes, use "up" elevator and a little left rudder. It tends to want to "dig in", leaning right and piviting on its head. (Cuts grass real nice!) Stan

A couple of our members fly off our grass field. No problems. They seem like a good flying plane.

I fly mine off of grass all the time. I even taxi it back and forth from the flight line. Our grass is short , but not golf green short. Just regular cut, about like your yard.
I even shoot touch and goes in the grass.
I have lights on mine and fly it at night as well.

They do great off the grass ( lawn cut ) No need to change wheels . They do it all the time where I fly and we must have at least a dozen of them . Nice flying plane !!! ( Not really for beginners tho ) ENJOY !!! RED

Here's another one in support of the stock wheels. No problem; I limit the amount of taxiing I do on grass fields because it reduces flight times. However, this airplane is at its best doing touch-&-gos in calm conditions and while using a hard surface for a runway. Please resist the urge to put what looks like "monster truck size wheels" on this one.
