Accessories for 182

Kit included the four fuzzy seats, decal sheet consisting of dash decal and some markings, all other markings are already on plane fuse and stab. Caban hatch cover at top of fuse and antenna mouldings are included.
Inside of caban walls are finished - no exposed framing and a finished floor hatch to cover servo tray below. Finish is a speckled type (matte). Includes a scale shaped dash unit. You can use the instrument decal or make your own.
Cowl blocks are pre-installed with metal blind nuts, cowl is pre-drilled.
Wing tube fit is excellant and rotation pins are installed.
Hope this helps. Ask if you need more - This looks to be a great kit. Finish is very Good.

Combination of fiberglass fuse and wood frame covered in what looks like ultra coat or sim. - very good job, no wrinkles etc. All markings line up.
We got ours at Ultimate RC in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 918-258-0061 (he has great prices)

Hangar 9 new Skylane

Got mine on Thursday.
I've assembled many ARFs from World Models, Great Planes, and Hangar 9, and this is, perhaps, the finest ARF I've ever worked with.

Not only is the construction top notch, but the scale details are way beyond a typical ARF - nice instrument panel, corrugated control surfaces, scale looking seats, concealed control.

I'm about 3/4 finished with the kit and it's been mostly been trouble free. There were a couple of differences with the instruction manual, however. Nothing major, but typical of ARF building.

I'll be powering it with an OS 1.60 FX. I'll post more info at completion.

regards,

mark meier

I agree with the above post. This arf is absolutley the best
that I have assembled to date. I cannot believe the quality of
this FINE example of the 182. I have the top-flite 182 also, and this bird is giving it a serious run for the money. Parts fit is
dead on and the ultracoat is top notch. I'm about half way done
and have encountered NO problems what so ever. I just hope
that tru-turn has the 3.25 ultimate spinner ready. If you are thinking about this kit then don't, IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I'm thinking about my Saito 120s for power. Should be enough power to fly it scale like. By the way, the kit was lazer
cut.

In progress

The first of the two we purchased in underway. Both will be powered by Zenoa G38 with on board starters. Plane wont need the power and it will add a couple more lbs. Originally planed on a Saito 180 but can't resist the on board starter effect. I believe the plane will handle the extra weight just fine (Lot of wing area). Will have to modify (shorten) engine mount unit.
So far everything fits perfect. The flaps are supper neat.
The 120 may be underpowered, this is a good size plane a will produce more drag and weight than the 120 can probably handle, maybe a 150.

I wondered about the 120 at first also, but I think it will be fine.
I have a OS pumped 120 surpass in my 15 lb Midwest T6 and it
hauls tail. Plenty of power. So I'm thinking the 182 will come in at
around 17 lbs and with more wing area its should fly scale with
a 16-6 or 16-8.

I think a OS 120 would be fine also for scale flight....SteveD

Pictures, pictures, pictures please. I don't care if it's still in the box. :D

Will Post Pictures

Should be able to post some pics tonight.
1st Kit status: Wing is on with flaps, alerons and servo trays installed. Landing gear and horz stab is on. Will do rudder, vert fin and elevators next. Cowl is factory mounted so I only need to make required openings. Very easy assembly. Instructions have gaps and over sights but nothing major.
sj3cub - Please think about that 120. This thing is bigger than you think. I fly a older 120 OS in my GP Ryan (80" wing). I dont have a good comparison of power against the surpass, so I may be wrong. Would not even think about it with my 120.
I recently tried a 58 4cy in a GP DR1 which is above the recommended smaller size. It could not get the DR-1 off the ground. So mabey Im just gun shy from having been bitten recently. Wish you the best with yours.

Great Workmanship

Absolutely the best workmanship I've ever seen out of a box or not!!!. :p
It is simply unbelieveable it can be this nice , Ive seen professional jobs that were trash compaired to this.
I have 2 engines on hand, OS Max 320 4 cylinder, it is scale and fits in the cowl, the other is a fuji 50 with the electric starter. Ill need to see if it will fit in the cowl.
It is simply STUNNING !!!!! :)

Hey, thanks for the preliminary pictures. The local hobby shop has one in but they wouldn't let me open it unless I was "serious" about buying it. What a joke. Had they let me look I might of had a gigantic judgment laps and slapped down the nearly 600 bucks. LOL It definitely is big. wow

drdoom 05-28-2003 06:45 PM

Now!

Better get your ***** back up their , Because it is already backordered at horizon. and It is the nicest kit on the market. :p
It should be a great flyer.

drdoom enhine fit

Im curious about the Fuji 50 with starter.
The total fire wall to cowl-spinner on mine is 9" less the 3" for motor box extension. Engine space is about 6", so I will have to remove about one inch on engine box for my G38 with on board starter.
What is the Fuji required mounting length??
