Brightstar Anyone???
Hi, anyone out there ever heard of a brightstar??? I got a used one, and I'm re-covering it and putting a Fox .50 in it. Thing is, I didn't get any instruction manual with it, and I'm not sure what the c/g is supposed to be. If anyone has this info, along with any tips on this model, please pass it along.
Thankx, lee. |

Brightstar
If you will be using the Brightstar as a trainer, it will be fine as is.
If you want to use it as a sport plane, clip one bay off each wing tip. It will still have plenty of wing to land slowly but the roll rate will be faster and the airplane will generally be more responsive. Seriously, you will like it a lot better with the short wing. Jim |
Brightstar Anyone???
Thanks guys, that is exactly the info I needed. I'm actually fixing it up for an upcomming fun-fly. It had an o.s. .40 in it, so I figure the fox .50 should over power it enough...
Jim, I actually thought of clipping the wings, but one of the events is the "glide", and I figure with the big wings, and the .50 engine to get me high real fast, I'm sure to win that event! I'll probably clip the wings after the fun-fly. Thanks again all, lee. |
