In the factory manual of the ARF Thunder Tiger Trainer 60 said that this model run with 60 engine (max) 2 cycle/I would like to know if I can change 2 cycle 60 for 4 cycle engine and what number fits best for this plane.

If I were in the market for something to replace my 60 2stroke I would get the Saito 100. Good running motor and it will go good on your next 60 size plane....the Saito's might seem high prised but it is a damn good motor and should give you many trouble free hours.

If you put a .60 or a .70 size 4s in it it would fly really nice. I flew a .60 trainer with a O.S. .70 for a long time. I think that the Magnum .61 4s would be a good engine for it.

GENERALLY, A 60 2 ST AND A 91 4ST ARE ABOUT THE SAME POWER., BUT THAT IS GENERAL....I AM CURRENTLY RECOVERING A TIGER 60 THAT I HAVE FLOWN FOR SEVERAL YEARS WITH 61 2ST AND PER MANY THREADS HERE, HAVE LIKE OTHERS, DECIDED TO PUT A TT 91 4ST IN IT.....WHICH RAN GOOD IN A SIG 4*60...THE ENGINES STILL DOES BUT THE 4* CRASHED THROUGH NO FAULT OTHER THAN THE POOR JUDGEMENT OF THE PILOT...THE 4ST USES FAR LESS FUEL AND SOUNDS BETTER...
