Is that normal ? I have balanced my kyosho stearman today and I need a tons of weight in the nose to balance that thing . How balance yours ??

Mine only needed about 1 oz. in the nose to balance with an O.S. 52 4 strk. Maybe your tail feathers had some heavy balsa. Tim.

Mine was also tail heavy - a 'heavy hub' spinner nut may cure this problem. But more importantly, check the orientation of your 'N' struts. Very easy to get them reversed and this causes problems with incidences on the top wing. I thought I had mine on correctly but after checking it and then reversing them, the plane flew so much better.

Check the other threads on this aircraft - that will give you some help, too. Hope this helps.

With a Saito 72 or a YS 53, I needed a heavy hub. Still a little tail heavy but where I like it.
