Thanks Mike.

My first venture into RC aircraft resulted in two beautiful planes, which represented over 250 hours of my life, being totalled in less than a minute each. Talk about stress and shock. That experience made me leave the hobby for 20 years.

I've crashed (totalled) two this time around. One due to radio failure (used radio). The other due to a bad clevis on the elevator servo. In both cases, I pulled my radio and engine out of the wreckage, calmly put them in my truck, and resumed flying a different plane.

Without ARFs, I wouldn't have come back. And the folks in this forum have been fantastic.

You know Backafter20, my story is similar to yours.
I flew Control line back when I was in the Navy stationed in Memphis, TN.
Built a couple of Flight Streaks and had a ball. Watched a friend or two build and obliterate their RC trainers, and decided that I wasn't a good or fast enough builder to invest all that time for a all too brief of a flight.

Fast forward 25 years later....Thank heaven for ARF's...and the irony is I still have the Easy 2 that I learned on from 6 years ago....go figure...

This is the only time I have been in an ARF thread . I am glad it is here for you buy and fly types. I like being able to pass it by when looking for scratch or kit threads. Keep up the good work.
You're right, there are a lot of grumpy old men out there building kits and screwing up clubs.
