Rascal 40 is a blast!!
It was windy today but that didn't stop me from flying my Rascal 40. Learned how to do nice high speed knife edge circles around the field. Another flyer came out with his Spacewalker and was having "lots" of trouble with his plane getting blown around due to the winds. I landed my plane and shut the engine down to help the other guy. I told him which new direction the wind sock was pointing and gave some advise until he got the plane down safely. At that point he determined that he had had enough. I switched from an APC 11-5 to an APC 10-7 prop to see if the Rascal would be faster. It seems to be but hard to tell. The plane was pretty quick with the other prop as well. Both props spin at almost the same rpm on the ground at 13,200 rpm. with the new OS 46AX on the nose mounted sideways. Any suggestions as to another prop to try for this plane/engine combo? I found an APC 11-6 that I will try tomorow. Cheers!
