From the picture it seems that this CAP is identical to "The World Models" CAP-232 46S, but with another covering scheme. All parts appear to be the same.

I know this post is a little old, however, I have just recently completed this excellent quality ARF from The Wings Maker and thought I should tell you about it. I don't have a whole lot of experience with ARF's as this is my first, but I must say it was a great experience to put this plane together. The instructions were a little vague ( installing the wheel pants was VERYvague) but overall the plane turned out pretty damn good. I was quite impressed with the pre-painted fiberglass cowling, it shines like you wouldn't believe, plus the kit comes with a clear plastic cowling in two parts that made it a breeze to line up all of the cuts that needed to be made without worrying about making any mistakes! The covering was a little wrinkled but smoothed right out with a hot iron and a little clear nail polish helped keep down a few of the edges (lightning bolts). I was also surprised that the kit came with a high quality (matching) pilot and a pre-cut canopy! As for the $99.00 price tag, well worth it. I had never heard of The Wings Maker company before, but after building this ARF I will not hesitate to purchase another from them in the future. I haven't flown it yet but as soon as I have I will let you know how it does. As you can see from the photos I added a remote fuel port and a "photo" cockpit that I took of one of Patty Wagstaffs planes.

Zvent,
The Wingsmake and World Models seem to be tha same company.
World Models has an excellent reputation.
I have had their Mach I and Mach II, high and low wing trainers, and I love them!

Does this model have bolt-on or glue-on rear stabilizers?
Their trainers do and it is great, especially when it's time to recover.

Thanks & Good Luck,

KW_Counter,
Unfortuneately, the rear stab is in fact glued on (thirty minute epoxy on mine). Still, it's a helluva plane. I have an Ultimate Bipe from world models and love it. Come to think of it, the tank that was included in my Wings Maker ARF is from World Models.....hmmmm. My first nitro plane was (and still is) a Hobbico AirVista and it has a bolt on rear stab. I am actually preparing to recover it soon. Never thought about the ease of recovering with that bolt on stab. I'll need all the help I can get considering that I will be learning to use monocote for the first time with that plane. It trained me to fly and soon it will train me to cover! Thanks. -Zvent

Zvent,
Thanks for the info.

Take it apart as much as possible, it will make the job easier.
Use Oracove instead of Monocoat, it will make the job easier.

Good Luck,

Regardingthe above, Ithink I can confirm that The Wings Maker andThe World Models are the same company. The Wings Maker is really an Americanization of the name "The World Models" which is a translation of their company name. The North American distributor is Airborne Models (note: same adress as The Wings Maker home office). Good quality ARFs.

Hi srk866, <div>I am playing to buy the plane. Can you recommend a suitalbe engine ... I notice from the pics , Zvent is using a 2-stroke, is that suitable ? </div>

Heck yes the nitro .46 is enough for that plane. My wings maker CAP had an Aviastar .46 on it and it was quite fast and very aerobatic. If you want to hover then put a Magnum 52 or an os 55ax on it for some real fun! I have the World Models version that I equiped with a Magnum 70 four stroke and it is very solid. Either way, a decent .46 2 stroke will put a smile on your face in this plane. If you don't believe me check out this video of my Wings Maker CAP and decide for yourself! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZvxBxKYII8
