65 engine on GP Easy Sport
I am about to purchase an Easy Sport 40 ARF. I had planned on putting a TT .46 on it. However, I have an unused K&B .65 engine and would like to be able to use it if I can. I am new to building and would appreciate some guidance.
Will this engine even fit that plane? Will it be too heavy? Will it be too powerfull for the airframe. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Larry |

I did the maiden flight on one of these last year that belonged to someone else, IMO it's not the best flying .40 size plane out there by a long shot. If you haven't purchased it yet, you may want to consider another model. Again, this is just my opinion.

What do you suggest for an advanced trainer. I am new to R/C, but fly G/A aircraft. I know how to fly and fear that I will outgrow a basic trainer very quickly. Therefore, I was looking for something that would allow me to stretch to the next level, but still be docile enough to get me started. I had also considered an Avistar and a H9 Cessna 40. I also peeked at the GP Big Stick 40.
I appreciate any advise and guidance. Larry |

If you are brand new to R/C, I would highly recommend a good trainer with at least a .46 BB engine. This way you can move the engine into your next plane. If you have someone to help you out and you want to start out with a little more advanced plane then go with a Big Stick. The Stick is a high wing plane but will lack the self recovery traits of a good trainer.

I would suggest a sig mid star or four star. The mid star is the same as the four star just with the wing moved up. THe mid star is a kit only but it is not hard to build at all. It was my second plane which was build when I was 16. I believe the four star is available in both kit and arf forms. You could fly a 60 four star with that motor and it would be a good combo. You can make it fly gentle or make it more livily as you continue to improve. It is however not a trainer but can be used as a great second plane.
